Corporate companies have "manufactured" the need and demand for bottled water. Bottled water is comparable in quality to tap water. Neither the EPA or FDA certify bottled water (EPA, 2005). The EPA says that, "Whether it travels through a pipe to your home or comes packaged in a bottle, safe drinking water is essential to good health. All our drinking water comes from the similar sources, either from sources we can see, such as rivers and lakes, or from sources we can't see, such as underground aquifers."

I love it! The difference is not drastic. Don't use plastic. We need to spread the word about using reusable water containers instead of purchasing bulk individual one use bottles for everyday consumption of water. It is quiet silly that we spend our money on what we already have for free, or how we are destroying our air quality and environment with every purchase of bottled water.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great slogan for a tap water campaign! It's easy to remember and it's also an easy ask for the general public to implement in their everyday lives.
